A Microsoft Azure Case Study
Computer Engineering & Consulting, Ltd. (CEC), a Japanese systems integrator founded in 1968, needed to respond quickly to rising demand for cloud-based services while meeting strict security and compliance requirements for handling employee national ID data. Tasked with building its first full-scale cloud offering — a National Identification Number Operations Support Service — CEC faced a tight timeline and limited in‑house Azure experience but had to deliver high quality, legally compliant operations and strong disaster-recovery capabilities.
CEC selected Microsoft Azure and Premier Support to accelerate development and ensure reliable operations; Premier provided 24/7 technical and on-site assistance throughout the lifecycle. Launched in December 2015, the solution combined Azure’s Japan data centers and east/west redundancy with CEC’s BPO services, data isolation, and multiple collection methods, driving increased customer inquiries, rapid improvement of internal Azure skills, and a foundation for further Azure-based offerings.
