Tunisian ‘Zitouna Bank’ enables effortless online banking with Microsoft Azure

Zitouna Bank, one of Tunisia’s largest banks, needed to modernize its on-premises online and mobile banking infrastructure to better meet rising customer expectations and support growth. To do that, the bank worked with partner Satoripop and chose Microsoft Azure to move toward a more flexible, scalable cloud-based banking platform.

Microsoft Azure helped Zitouna Bank build and deploy its Tawassol mobile and online app in just six months, using services like Azure DevOps and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to streamline development and operations. The result was a modern omnichannel banking experience with more than 200,000 users, enabling customers to manage accounts, make transfers, and access services anytime, while also adding AI-powered virtual assistant capabilities.
