TUKU makes car buying fun with help from Azure services

TUKU, a London, Ontario–based retail technology company, faced a new showroom reality: roughly half of car shoppers research vehicles on their smartphones and many prefer not to engage sales staff immediately. Competition Toyota wanted a way to connect with these mobile-centric customers at the point of sale and asked TUKU to deliver a contactless, vehicle-specific digital experience.

TUKU built AutoTour, a touchpoint-driven mobile browser solution hosted on Microsoft Azure that uses NFC/QR codes to deliver instant, model-specific content with no app download. Launched in about 2.5 months, AutoTour gives shoppers features, reviews, social sharing and a one-tap test-drive request while capturing behavior data for dealer analytics—providing fast deployment, scalable cloud hosting, and actionable presales insights without heavy infrastructure overhead.
