Transparent security and easy administration of thousands of cloud-connected units at KMD

KMD, one of Denmark’s largest IT companies with about 3,200 employees, set out to migrate its core productivity tools to Office 365 while tackling limitations of its on‑premises setup. The organization needed a way to securely authenticate users and manage thousands of mobile and personal devices, stop reliance on consumer file-sharing services, prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data, and remove cumbersome sign‑on procedures without reducing employee productivity.

Working with Lumagate and Microsoft, KMD implemented Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite—primarily Azure AD for cloud authentication and Intune for device compliance and management. The solution syncs KMD’s Active Directory to the cloud, enforces updates and security policies, enables remote wipe of corporate data, and automatically blocks non‑compliant devices, delivering transparent, scalable security and simple administration while preserving data ownership and enabling secure Office 365 and OneDrive use across a large mobile workforce.
