Transforming Special-Needs Education with an Interactive Cloud Solution

N2Y, a U.S.-based special-education curriculum provider, needed a more interactive way to deliver its teaching materials and make learning more accessible for students with special needs. The company wanted to move beyond static PDFs to a web-based experience with drag-and-drop interaction, text-to-speech, and analytics, and it chose Microsoft Azure with support from Solliance.

Using Microsoft Azure, N2Y built a browser-based content-creation and delivery solution with Azure Websites, Azure Storage Services, and Visual Studio Online. The result was a cloud platform that made learning more engaging, gave teachers better insight into student progress, and reduced costs through a subscription model; N2Y reported that more children were learning to read and function independently, with pricing as low as pennies a day per student.
