A Microsoft Azure Case Study
Mirabeau, a leading European digital marketing agency, needed more elastic, faster infrastructure to support high-traffic retail, banking, and airline platforms. Facing frequent traffic spikes (more than five times normal load) and slow, weeks‑long deployments under managed hosting, the company moved its workloads to the public cloud—first AWS and then Microsoft Azure—to scale on demand and shift focus from infrastructure management to solution development.
Mirabeau migrated about 100 virtual servers and 40 TB of data to Azure and adopted PaaS services (App Service, Azure SQL, Cognitive Services, ExpressRoute, Site Recovery, StorSimple) plus automated “kickstarter” deployment packages and CI/CD workflows. The result: deployment times dropped from weeks to seconds, automatic scaling for promotional traffic, lower total costs, much faster time-to-market (notably for a major retailer and Transavia airline), and new value-added features such as personalized promotions and a Messenger chatbot—freeing DevOps to concentrate on innovation.
