Microsoft Azure also helped Allscripts accelerate product development with PaaS services such as Azure Cosmos DB and Azure SQL Database Managed Instance, cutting development costs dramatically and reducing project setup from months to hours; the company has already closed or moved three datacenters and plans to migrate thousands more VMs.
