TeamViewer focuses on growth in the Azure-Cloud

TeamViewer GmbH, the Göppingen-based maker of market-leading remote-support software with over 200 million active users and more than one billion activations, faced rising IT demands from rapid growth. To support global service delivery and scale efficiently, the company evaluated cloud options (AWS and Microsoft Azure) and moved to a unified cloud strategy.

After a test phase, TeamViewer standardized on Microsoft Azure as its platform-as-a-service and migrated all big-data workloads (migration completed Sept 2015). The result is a centrally scalable, cost-effective cloud infrastructure managed with standardized tools and automatic updates, strong local Microsoft support, and the flexibility to scale resources and adopt future services (e.g., Microsoft BI), leaving TeamViewer well prepared for continued growth.
