Swiss Re leverages Cloud Technology and Data Services for its digital risk intelligence solutions thanks to Codit and Microsoft Azure

Swiss Re, one of the world’s largest reinsurers, needed to modernize its IT environment and move its SAP S/4HANA systems from private cloud to the public cloud while improving availability, reducing operating costs, and enabling more agile development. The company selected Microsoft Azure as the platform for this migration as part of its broader IT modernization initiative.

Microsoft Azure, working with its implementation partner, moved Swiss Re’s SAP applications to a high-availability architecture on Azure with zero disruption to business operations. The solution included one-click SAP disaster recovery, extensive automation across 29 use cases, and 95% automated infrastructure builds; it improved resiliency, increased self-service, and migrated 170 virtual servers and 35 SAP instances successfully.
