Startup brings science to workforce allocation

QMerit is an Irvine-based startup that built an enterprise-grade, meritocracy-driven cloud platform to manage direct employees, temporary workers, and subcontractors on a single system. Faced with the challenge of objectively matching the right certified, cost-effective resource to each service job—and motivating and measuring performance across siloed service and care supply chains—QMerit needed a scalable, secure, and fast-to-market technology foundation.

QMerit chose Microsoft Azure and partners (including Macadamian) and used App Service, Service Fabric, Azure SQL, Power BI, and Visual Studio Team Services to deliver a modular, HIPAA-compliant platform via rapid DevOps sprints. The solution powers objective, data-driven matching and the QMerit Contribution Index, has enabled customer wins such as BMW North America’s installation service, and sets the company up to add advanced analytics and machine-learning improvements to boost service quality and efficiency.
