Spanish winery blends old world processes and modern technology to increase business efficiency

Carviresa is a small, multigenerational winery in Catalonia with three production sites and about 10 employees that makes roughly 5 million liters of wine a year. The company faced complex, time-consuming processes—financials, production and lab data, and strict regulatory filings for multiple Denominación de Origen certificates—managed across separate systems and Excel spreadsheets, which hindered data sharing and traceability.

Working with Microsoft partner Tipsa, Carviresa deployed the VinoTEC solution on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, plus Azure and Office 365, using a cloud subscription model and mobile access. The unified ERP automated and centralized production, lab and compliance data, sped up and improved accuracy of Certificate of Origin filings, enabled real-time visibility across sites, and reduced manual work so the team can focus more on winemaking and delivering consistent, high-quality bottles.
