Somerset College boosts parent engagement with Azure Active Directory Premium

Somerset College, a leading K–12 school in Australia, faced frustrated parents and strained IT resources because families had to remember multiple passwords to access the school’s online platforms and app. With 1,900 parents joining the school network and a new learning and communication platform being rolled out, the college needed a secure, user-friendly identity solution to simplify access and increase parent engagement.

The school implemented Microsoft Azure Active Directory Premium (with support from Insync Technology) to provide single sign-on and self-service password reset, completing deployment in under three months. The rollout—Australia’s largest single-school Azure AD Premium deployment—doubled the college’s managed user base without adding IT staff and significantly increased parent engagement with the school’s online environment.
