The Next Up, a 15‑person software company in Anaheim, provides dealer sales‑automation tools that capture showroom interactions and feed CRM systems. To support global growth and ensure accurate, real‑time tracking across dealerships, the company needed to move from an on‑premises SaaS model to a cloud platform that could autoscale and support multiple mobile platforms quickly.

The Next Up migrated to Microsoft Azure and rebuilt its application with ASP.NET MVC5, Visual Studio, and Xamarin, using Azure Mobile Services, Service Bus, SQL Database and other PaaS features. This allowed one C# codebase to produce native iOS and Android apps, sped development and testing, enabled global deployments in hours, lowered costs, and delivered features like Live Drive and planned predictive analytics to improve dealership staffing and sales outcomes.
