Sodexo, a global facilities-management leader operating across industries in Australia and 84 countries, faced fragmented, siloed IT systems that limited transparency, slowed decision-making and constrained its move to a mutualisation model (full management of non-core services). The company needed a fast, scalable way to replace the equivalent of 20–30 standalone systems so it could optimise operations, deliver predictable client outcomes and capture measurable efficiencies.

Working with Microsoft and partner Velrada, Sodexo deployed a unified cloud platform using Azure, Dynamics 365, IoT Hub and Power BI (with machine learning and predictive analytics) in six months. The solution created a secure client portal, automated IoT-driven inspections to cut routine checks, and delivered rich analytics that have already saved a client tens of millions of dollars, enabled one client to replace 600 contractors with a single integrated service, and driven double-digit efficiency improvements while providing a scalable global blueprint.
