School district catapults one-to-one learning to next level with automated data sync

Riverview School District, a Washington State district serving about 3,200 students, set out to expand a one-to-one learning environment but struggled with manual roster management and time-consuming data entry between its student information system and classroom software. Teachers and IT staff were spending many hours creating and updating class lists, limiting time for instruction and personalized learning.

Riverview partnered with AssistX to deploy ClassPolicy alongside Microsoft School Data Sync, Microsoft Classroom, OneNote, and Office 365. SDS automated roster synchronization into Azure Active Directory, cutting initial manual data work from 16 hours to about four and eliminating ongoing manual updates. The result: reduced IT maintenance and teacher admin time, dynamic nightly roster updates, better classroom management and student engagement, and strong teacher adoption of Classroom and ClassPolicy.
