Preview of the Reckitt Benckiser Case Study

Reckitt Benckiser empowers employees to work smarter using big data

Reckitt Benckiser (RB), a UK‑based global consumer goods company with about 40,000 employees, needed better business intelligence to drive faster, data‑based decisions. The BI team wanted to combine internal operational data with third‑party retail and sell‑out data, but their hybrid AWS plus a third‑party BI tool was unreliable, hard to maintain, and offered a poor mobile experience.

RB moved to an end‑to‑end Microsoft solution—Power BI front end with Azure Data Factory, Blob/Data Lake storage, HDInsight, Azure SQL Data Warehouse and Azure Analysis Services—built in six months. The fully managed platform reduced complexity and licensing costs (paying for itself in year one), enabled self‑service analytics (including mobile sell‑out dashboards for salespeople), and gave teams across the business faster, more actionable insights with room to expand into Azure AI and Bot services.
