Real Estate Firm Trims IT Costs by 75 Percent with Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure

Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm with 253 offices and more than 15,000 employees, faced an expensive, overprovisioned and slow IT infrastructure that hindered growth. The company was paying for hundreds of underutilized servers, suffered long deployment times, high VMware licensing costs, and needed a more responsive, cost‑effective way to ensure business continuity.

Working with partner Software Logic, C&W built a hybrid cloud using Windows Server 2012, Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 and Windows Azure, refreshed hardware, and consolidated virtualized workloads. The move cut IT costs by 75 percent, reduced hundreds of servers to a compact blade environment, enabled server deployments in minutes instead of weeks, and provided low‑cost disaster recovery while freeing IT to focus on business priorities.
