Case Study: Race Winning Brands achieves 65 hours per month in employee time savings with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Race Winning Brands Case Study

Race Winning Brands saves employees 65 hours a month with high-performance BI from Microsoft

Race Winning Brands, a division of Kinderhook Industries that makes high-end engine parts for racecars and powersports vehicles, struggled with slow, error-prone reporting across separate North American and European ERPs. Daily manual consolidation in Excel created multiple “versions of the truth,” inconsistent calculations (including currency conversion issues), limited mobile access, and large time drains for finance and sales staff.

Working with partner The Principal Consulting, RWB implemented a hybrid on-premises data warehouse on SQL Server 2016 and a Power BI portal integrated with Azure Active Directory to enforce a single data model and automated ETL. The solution—rolled out in four months—standardized customer and product data, automated currency conversions, and delivered centralized dashboards; employees reclaimed up to 65 hours a month, data accuracy improved to within 0.03%, and executives gained faster, actionable insights for better sales and marketing decisions.
