A Microsoft Azure Case Study
DirectWest, a SaskTel subsidiary and long-standing phone directory publisher behind Mysask411, serves Saskatchewan’s 1.1 million residents. As customers shifted online, DirectWest’s aging, inflexible sales and service systems were expensive to maintain and limited its ability to roll out digital services and leverage customer data.
Partnering with Microsoft Services, DirectWest built a cloud-based platform using Dynamics 365, Azure, Power BI, Office 365 and Surface devices, adopting an iterative sprint approach that delivered the first release in five months. The new solution sped up field access, reduced administrative work, improved data capture and analytics to surface sales opportunities, streamlined service deployment, and set the foundation for ongoing self-service and personalized digital offerings.
