Pakistani manufacturing giant takes advantage of Microsoft tools to power user-centric growth

ICI Pakistan Limited, a Karachi-based chemical manufacturer with a 75-year history and more than 1,700 employees, faced slowing daily operations due to on-premises downtime, manual workflows, and fragmented analytics. The company needed a more resilient, user-centric infrastructure to reduce IT dependency, enable remote work, and speed decision-making.

Working with partner Scaptox, ICI migrated to Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 tools—including SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Dynamics 365, and Windows Virtual Desktop—to automate processes and centralize data. The rollout delivered zero email downtime, faster month-end closings, automated lead and claim workflows, and about 50 reports/20 dashboards in Power BI that save an estimated three to four man-hours per day, boosting collaboration, productivity, and data-driven decision making.
