Case Study: Pacífico Seguros achieves centralized portal management and faster deployments with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Pacifico Seguros Case Study

Pacífico Seguros centrally manages its complex portal architecture with a cloud solution

Pacífico Seguros, a leading Peruvian insurer, faced a legacy, datacenter-hosted CMS that limited functionality across customer, broker and internal sites and made deployments slow and resource‑intensive. The company needed to centralize portal management, expand online services and accelerate time‑to‑market while keeping sensitive policy data secure.

Pacífico implemented a hybrid architecture using Microsoft Azure IaaS with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Liferay, Tomcat and Apache Solr for cloud-hosted portal content and business logic, while keeping databases and sensitive data on‑premises and integrating via web services. The new platform centralized portals for clients, brokers and suppliers, enabled self‑management by business areas, sped deployments from months to weeks or days, improved online sales and customer service (including mobile assistance), and reduced the sales cycle.
