Financial Fabric, a banking and capital markets data services company, needed a faster way to extract and normalize thousands of complex semi-structured documents each day. Traditional methods required custom code and could take months, creating major delays in delivering data to investment clients. Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Cognitive Services with Azure Form Recognizer, was used in a pilot to address this challenge.

Microsoft Azure Form Recognizer quickly extracted document data into JSON, making it easy for Financial Fabric to use for analytics without ETL processes or custom code. As a result, extraction jobs that once took days or weeks now take only minutes, significantly accelerating data processing for its clients.
