A Microsoft Azure Case Study
The Mississippi Department of Mental Health (DMH) provides services for people with mental illness and intellectual and developmental disabilities through 12 programs, and needed a way to better engage patients, capture clinical outcomes, and enable communication across disparate IT systems. DMH sought a flexible, mobile solution that would let caregivers and clinicians communicate more effectively with patients, support daily-living therapy, and close the clinical loop by tracking progress against individual care plans.
DMH deployed CoCENTRIX CARETILES, a cloud-enabled mobile app built on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and hosted on Azure, giving patients a graphic, customizable interface to communicate needs and caregivers secure, anytime access to client data. The solution improved assessment quality and patient dignity, allowed clinicians to monitor and document care-plan compliance, supports HL7 integration with other health systems, and is already enhancing daily interactions (in classrooms, restaurants, and care transitions) while enabling broader data sharing and coordinated care.
