CaseLines is a UK start-up that digitises courtroom evidence, tackling the legal system’s reliance on bulky paper bundles, costly duplication and risky transfer methods. The challenge was to create a secure, flexible way to manage frequently changing evidence and court workflows while reducing time and expense for judges, clerks and legal teams.

By building on Microsoft Azure and Dynamics CRM, CaseLines delivers browser‑based, secure access to centralised digital bundles, real‑time annotation and single sign‑on scheduling. The solution has cut paper and copier costs (24 million pages stored so far), sped up bundle production—helping enable earlier pleas—and is now used across Crown Courts, the Supreme Court and many tribunals, improving efficiency and collaboration in courtrooms nationwide.
