A Microsoft Azure Case Study
Dana Holding Corporation, a Maumee, Ohio–based manufacturer of drivetrain, sealing and thermal‑management technologies, needed to modernize its software infrastructure so employees could collaborate more effectively and speed product launches. The company sought to replace disparate legacy systems and reduce friction for its more than 10,000 knowledge workers and thousands of factory employees.
Dana migrated to Microsoft Office 365 (including Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business and Yammer), plus Project Online and Azure, consolidating messaging, file sharing, conferencing and project management. The change delivered single sign‑on access, better visibility and automation for product launches, improved cross‑site collaboration, more connected factory workers, faster time‑to‑market and freed IT to focus on strategic initiatives, creating a clear competitive advantage.
