Case Study: Milaha achieves secure 24/7 client access, scalability and reduced IT costs with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Milaha Case Study

Major Middle East company provides clients with secure remote access to important data in the cloud

Milaha, a Qatar-based maritime and logistics company serving oil, gas and shipping customers with about 4,000 employees, needed to replace an inflexible, costly on‑premises infrastructure that hindered secure, 24/7 customer access to its client-facing apps, intranet and websites. Management was also concerned about security and control when considering a move to the cloud.

Working with partner Qatar Datamation Systems, Milaha migrated to Microsoft Azure and Office 365, deploying IaaS/PaaS, SharePoint Server 2016, web apps and website hosting behind a secure Azure access panel validated by penetration testing. The transition delivered high availability, faster performance, round‑the‑clock support, stronger security and reduced maintenance and hardware costs, and created capacity for future innovation such as IoT-based vessel and fleet monitoring.
