Case Study: Mission Linen Supply achieves faster supplier onboarding and improved order processing with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Mission Linen Supply Case Study

Linen service routes orders through the cloud to expand business and solve order problems faster

Mission Linen Supply, a family‑owned linen and uniform rental company founded in 1930 with more than 2,500 employees across 40 facilities, moved into direct apparel sales and needed an e-commerce order process that didn’t require owning inventory. Relying on a third‑party EDI provider to translate and route orders led to long supplier onboarding times, limited visibility into order flow, slow problem resolution, and per‑transaction and onboarding fees.

Working with VNB Consulting, Mission rebuilt its order workflow in Microsoft Azure using Azure Logic Apps (with Azure SQL, Event Hub, Stream Analytics and Power BI) to translate, route and monitor orders. Delivered in three months, the cloud solution cut supplier onboarding from months to about two weeks, removed server management and recurring EDI fees (saving roughly $5,000/year in transaction fees), improved real‑time visibility for faster issue resolution, and supports faster order processing and business growth.
