Leading construction software ISV shifts 900 customers to Azure in record time

Viewpoint, a construction software company, needed to simplify its cloud footprint and move 900 SaaS customers and 663 terabytes of data from colocation to a more scalable, reliable platform. To support its ERP solutions and strict customer compliance needs, Viewpoint chose Microsoft Azure, including Azure Site Recovery, Azure Virtual Machines, and SQL Server.

Microsoft Azure helped Viewpoint complete a large lift-and-shift migration of its Vista and ProContractor solutions in just seven months, ahead of schedule and with no major disruption to customers. The move improved scalability, reliability, performance, and cost optimization, and Viewpoint used Microsoft Power BI to monitor infrastructure costs in real time; it also added a new datacenter in Canada in under three weeks.
