Kiddie Academy chooses Microsoft to meet growth targets—and save $800,000

Kiddie Academy, a 35+-year leader in educational childcare with more than 170 academies in 23 states and plans to exceed 200, faced the challenge of supporting rapid franchise growth while keeping technology costs and inconsistent franchise processes under control. Their prior mix of a lightweight CRM, manual tracking, spreadsheets and paper led to decentralized information and operational gaps that threatened brand consistency and scalability.

Partnering with Slickdata and Microsoft, Kiddie Academy built KARES—a cloud-based portal and CRM using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, Office 365, Power BI, ADX Portal and Surface devices—to centralize training, collaboration, curriculum delivery and franchise operations. The solution improved analytics, security (99.9%+ uptime) and franchise management, reduced initial licensing costs (about $40K vs. an estimated $350K alternative), delivered more than $300K in immediate savings and is projected to save an additional $500K+ over five years (totaling over $800K), while enabling faster, cost-effective growth.
