Keiser University transforms its business and drives efficiency with the Microsoft Cloud

Keiser University, a private, career-focused institution with online programs and physical campuses worldwide, faced a major IT challenge when an AT&T data center closed. With roughly 2 million personal records to protect and frequent four-week academic cycles that create recurring peak loads, the university needed a more secure, scalable and cost-effective infrastructure that would let IT stay within budget while supporting rapid growth and online delivery.

Keiser migrated its datacenter to Microsoft Azure and adopted Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security, Intune and Active Directory. The move delivered pay-as-you-go scalability, automated scaling for monthly and daily peaks, built-in redundancy and compliance, and stronger device security—reducing monthly data-center expenses by thousands. The cloud also improved testability and agility, freed IT from hardware maintenance, and enabled new initiatives like a paperless financial-aid workflow and broader self-service access for faculty and students.
