Kaduna State Government gives business processes a boost in North West Nigeria

Kaduna State Government, which manages Nigeria’s populous Kaduna State, tasked its Environmental Protection Authority (KEPA) with faster, more transparent processing of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) certificates to protect biodiversity while improving ease of doing business. The existing manual process was slow, duplicated effort, and lacked efficient payment and reporting capabilities, so the state needed an automated, user-friendly submission and tracking system.

Partnering with Wragby Business Solutions, KDSG built an Azure-powered web portal (using Azure App Service, Azure SQL DB and ASP.NET Core) with single sign-on, online document uploads and integrated payments, and a Power BI consolidated dashboard for cross-agency reporting. The result: EIA processing times fell from weeks to minutes, transparency and user satisfaction increased, and government leaders now view automated performance indices at a glance—paving the way to expand automation across revenue, social services and other areas.
