A Microsoft Azure Case Study
INAIL, the Italian National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work, needed to simplify access to its public services and improve remote support for citizens, especially as paper-heavy processes and fragmented communication made case handling slow and cumbersome. Working with Microsoft Azure and using Microsoft Power Apps, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Teams, and Viva, INAIL set out to create a more intuitive digital experience for appointments and citizen interactions.
Microsoft Azure helped INAIL and its partners build Sportello Digitale, a self-service app that lets citizens book in-person or remote appointments and share case details in advance. The result was faster, clearer service and lower costs: citizens who booked through the app did not need follow-up appointments, and INAIL reduced the time, labor, and resources spent resolving cases.
