WorkITsafe is a Brooklyn-based IT services provider for small and midsize businesses across the eastern seaboard, supporting customers such as hospitals, law firms, and manufacturers. After Hurricane Sandy in 2012 exposed gaps in disaster recovery and highlighted customer needs for more frequent replication, easier remote access, and affordable continuity solutions, WorkITsafe sought a way to deliver stronger business continuity and higher productivity without raising costs.

WorkITsafe upgraded its data center to Windows Server 2012 R2 and deployed System Center 2012 R2, gaining 30-second Hyper-V Replica intervals, support for a tertiary replica site, compressed Live Migration, improved RDS/VDI and the Windows Server Essentials Experience, and is testing Azure Site Recovery for cloud orchestration. The upgrade delivered higher availability with less downtime, faster troubleshooting and remote support, improved remote-work productivity, and lower infrastructure and management costs for both WorkITsafe and its SMB customers.
