A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Kuwait Finance House Case Study

Islamic banking pioneer innovates again with digital banking shift

Kuwait Finance House (KFH), founded in 1977 as Kuwait’s first Sharia-compliant bank and now operating across Kuwait, Turkey, Bahrain and Malaysia, set out to become a regional leader in digital banking. Facing outdated desktop and back-end systems, the group needed a controlled move to cloud, stronger security, better analytics and more efficient customer and branch operations to support multinational growth.

KFH implemented a phased digital transformation using Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security, Dynamics CRM, Azure, Power BI and analytics platforms, alongside plans for a new purpose-built data center to enable private cloud, PaaS and SaaS. The rollout delivered higher staff productivity and collaboration (including Yammer adoption), stronger content classification and security, automated service workflows, faster analytics and improved contact-center performance, with expected reductions in admin overhead, licensing duplication and operational costs plus plans for chatbot-driven customer support.
