Insurance company improves efficiency for better customer care with data services in Azure

Tryg, the Copenhagen-headquartered Danish insurance company serving about 3 million customers across Denmark, Norway and Sweden, needed to simplify a fragmented technology landscape created through multiple mergers. It also wanted a more scalable, data-driven environment to personalize customer service, access real-time data, and use customer data more effectively at key touchpoints. To address this, Tryg turned to Microsoft Azure for cloud migration and data infrastructure.

Microsoft Azure helped Tryg move workloads from on-premise systems to the cloud, using Azure Data Lake for storage, Azure Active Directory for secure access, and an Azure API gateway to share consolidated data across applications. The company also used real-time ingestion tools to reduce operational data burden and focus on insights. Since migrating to Microsoft Azure, Tryg says efficiency in some core processes has improved by at least 30%, with expectations of reaching 50% improvement.
