Grupo Prodensa is a Mexican consulting firm that helps foreign companies set up manufacturing and distribution operations in Mexico. It tracked nearly 50 KPIs across more than 60 client projects using Excel-based Balanced Score Cards, a process that required thousands of manual entries each month and lengthy, error-prone aggregation into PowerPoint reports—making reporting slow and unscalable.

Microsoft and partner Lagash moved score-card data to Office 365 and Azure SQL Database and replaced spreadsheets with Power BI dashboards (proof of concept built in under three weeks, full rollout June 2017). Managers now get real-time, centralized KPIs with IT-controlled goals, eliminating manual aggregation (saving about a day per manager per month), improving data accuracy, scalability, and mobile access for faster project decision-making.
