Infosys, a global leader in technology services and consulting with 199,000+ employees, faced growing pain with its internal corporate blog originally hosted on SharePoint on-premises. Frequent customizations required extensive coding and long deployment cycles, infrastructure and patch management were time-consuming, and the platform was only accessible via the intranet—limiting mobile and remote access while the company wanted to maintain secure, simple sign-on.

Infosys migrated the blog to WordPress running on Microsoft Azure Web Apps (PaaS), working with internal open-source and cloud teams and Microsoft. The move eliminated most infrastructure maintenance, enabled real-time updates, and delivered auto-scaling, load balancing and high availability (99.99% SLA); it also added secure multi-factor authentication for remote access and mobile availability, improving uptime, agility and user experience.
