METIS Cyberspace Technology is an information‑intelligence company from Greece that helps shipping firms make faster, safer, and more sustainable decisions. Facing rising costs, tighter environmental rules, and the need for rapid onboard decisions, ship operators struggled to turn vast streams of raw sensor data into actionable insight.

METIS built an AI‑driven platform on Microsoft Azure (AKS) that ingests IoT and time‑series data, runs predictive analytics and what‑if simulations, and exposes real‑time alerts and a virtual assistant in Microsoft Teams. The solution delivers route optimization, fuel and emissions visibility, and operational alerts—helping one customer cut fuel use by 27.5%, another shorten a voyage by 1.5 days while using less fuel, and supporting over 238 vessels on the platform.
