Icertis enhances security of cloud-based enterprise contract management solution

Icertis is a Seattle-based leader in cloud enterprise contract management, running its Icertis Contract Management (ICM) platform on Microsoft Azure and serving global customers such as 3M and Daimler. Because ICM holds highly sensitive contract and PII data across millions of agreements and many datacenters, Icertis needed to strengthen and simplify security monitoring, meet varied regional compliance requirements, and reassure enterprise buyers—while managing a large, scale‑up/down Azure footprint that had relied on labor‑intensive, home‑grown monitoring tools.

To address this, Icertis adopted Microsoft Azure Security Center alongside Azure services (Key Vault, AD, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, etc.) to centralize security monitoring, automate policy management per subscription/resource group, and enable advanced threat detection, just‑in‑time VM access, and application whitelisting. The change replaced several custom tools, improved auditability and customer confidence, allowed region‑specific compliance handling, and reduced operations labor by about 30%, freeing the team to focus on product innovation and customer deployments.
