Case Study: Housing Works achieves scalable, secure cloud operations with Microsoft Azure

Housing Works uses technology to serve clients struggling with homelessness, AIDS, and COVID-19

Housing Works, a nonprofit serving New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS or at risk of infection, needed to bring outsourced financials and medical billing in-house and later modernize an overburdened on-premises infrastructure that was struggling to scale. To support these changes, Housing Works worked with Microsoft Azure through HSO, using Microsoft Dynamics GP and cloud hosting to replace a fragmented setup and improve reliability.

Microsoft Azure helped Housing Works migrate its core systems and data center to the cloud in a phased project that was accelerated during COVID from six months to two weeks. The result was a secure, scalable, 24/7 available environment with hybrid connectivity and seamless access from anywhere, helping the organization improve efficiency and productivity while reducing the burden of managing infrastructure on its staff.
