Case Study: Hermes International achieves transparent end-to-end parcel reporting with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Hermes Case Study

Holistic end-to-end reporting for the parcels entrusted to Hermes International

Hermes International needed a better way to answer where a package was at any point in its journey. With millions of parcels, containers, and airfreight shipments moving across multiple countries and partners, its previous tracking and reporting setup was too rigid and incomplete, leaving key transport steps as a “black box.” Hermes turned to Microsoft Azure and Power BI to create a more transparent, end-to-end view of its logistics data.

Microsoft Azure and Power BI were used to consolidate shipment, tracking, and runtime data into cloud-based, real-time reporting. The solution now supports operational steering, performance analysis, and targeted dashboards for internal and external users, replacing static PDFs and Excel reports. Hermes gained full visibility across the supply chain, improved issue resolution and delivery-time compliance, and expanded the platform to support new KPIs, CO2 tracking, risk management, and customer-facing reporting portals.
