Tate & Lyle, a global ingredients and solutions provider with operations in 30+ locations, needed to centralize financial reporting across three customized SAP instances and numerous non‑SAP systems. The company chose to consolidate into a single SAP Business Warehouse on SAP HANA but found its on‑premises datacenter inadequate and required a robust, flexible infrastructure that wouldn’t delay the project or demand large capital investment.

Tate & Lyle deployed SAP HANA on Microsoft Azure Large Instances with partner Protera and SUSE Linux, creating a central BW on HANA that aggregates transactional data and 26 non‑SAP sources. The cloud solution provided prevalidated compute, network, and storage, enabling faster report generation, more accurate single‑point financial views, shorter month‑end closes, and the agility to scale and innovate quickly.
