Case Study: Harris Pye Engineering Group achieves unified global operations and improved productivity with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Harris Pye Engineering Group Case Study

Global engineering firm unifies operations with a single cloud office

Harris Pye Engineering Group, a UAE‑headquartered global engineering firm serving the marine, offshore oil & gas and onshore sectors (500–1,000 employees), had grown faster than its on‑premises IT could support. Disparate systems and poor bandwidth in some countries caused inefficiencies, workflow bottlenecks (particularly for CAD and 3D rendering) and complex, time‑consuming system management across multiple time zones.

The company migrated to Microsoft Azure and Office 365 with partner Cloud9ers—beginning in 2014 and later adopting Azure HPC—moving operations to virtual desktops and cloud services. This enabled multiple users to access high‑performance applications concurrently, simplified infrastructure management (one person can manage globally), allowed new offices to open in days instead of months, and delivered substantial productivity, efficiency, time and cost savings.
