Fujitsu simplifies managed services delivery with Azure Arc

Fujitsu was modernizing its infrastructure with Microsoft Azure while migrating systems to its DXP Cloud, but still had to manage thousands of on-premises servers, including 134 Windows Server 2012 virtual machines nearing end-of-support. This created a challenge for security, licensing, and day-to-day operations across a hybrid environment.

Microsoft Azure implemented Azure Arc to provide unified management of Fujitsu’s on-premises and cloud servers, with Azure-managed visibility and support for ESU, security, and policy control. The result was centralized operations, faster deployment, and 40% lower annual licensing fees by moving from yearly to monthly payments, while 134 servers were successfully retired by June 2025.
