Case Study: Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand achieves real‑time predictive cloud monitoring and cost optimization with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Fujitsu Case Study

Fujitsu earns customers’ trust by anticipating cloud needs

Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, a leading IT services provider in the region, faced a growing challenge: once customer servers moved to public or hybrid clouds, it became hard to monitor virtualized resources, provide accurate capacity planning, predict workload spikes, or give cost‑effective Azure sizing advice. Standard monthly historical reports were not enough to prevent downtime or answer customers’ forward‑looking questions about resource needs.

Fujitsu adopted Microsoft Operations Management Suite to automate reporting and gain real‑time, visual insights into cloud health. OMS exposed configuration issues, enabled predictive analytics (including an Azure Machine Learning proof of concept), and saved up to 20 hours per month per customer. The result: improved Azure optimization recommendations, redeployment of support staff to higher‑value work, more competitive cloud management bids, and greater application resilience and customer peace of mind.
