Case Study: GeoSafe reduces development and operational costs and scales real-time first-responder services with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the GeoSafe Case Study

First-response app provider cuts development and operational costs

GeoSafe, founded in 2008 by Moshe Gutman, develops a mobile app that gives police, firefighters, and paramedics real-time GPS tracking, messaging, and 911-call visibility across jurisdictions. The company’s original on‑premises server‑client architecture created heavy maintenance overhead—requiring frequent on-site installs—and raised scalability and reliability concerns as location, call, and messaging traffic grew.

GeoSafe migrated to Microsoft Azure PaaS, using Service Bus, Redis Cache, Notification Hubs, App Service, Azure SQL and storage, and Application Insights and AAD for monitoring and compliance. The cloud architecture eliminated much on-site support, improved performance and reliability, sped deployments from 20 minutes to 20 seconds, enabled proactive monitoring and government compliance, and let the founder focus on product and sales as installations grew significantly.
