European parallel distribution company Abacus Medicine sustains its rapid growth with cloud solutions

Abacus Medicine, a fast-growing pharmaceutical distributor based in Denmark with operations across Europe, needed a more flexible ERP system to keep up with rapid growth in users, sites, warehouses, and legal entities. The company also wanted to reduce customization and speed up operations so it could provide affordable medicine to more markets. It turned to Microsoft Azure along with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and the Microsoft Power Platform.

Microsoft Azure helped Abacus Medicine modernize its ERP and automate repetitive processes with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Azure Virtual Machines. The result was faster packaging, better visibility across operations, and more than 250 employees able to work simultaneously; stock counting was reduced from two days every quarter to a year-end physical count, freeing up six extra production days per year.
