Esri built a managed cloud GIS service on Microsoft Azure using Azure Container Service and Mesosphere DC/OS, with containerized microservices and data tools (Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch, Azure IoT Suite). The new platform processes millions of events per second, cuts deployment time from days to minutes, improves resilience and regional deployment options, and enables new predictive‑GIS capabilities and larger customer opportunities.
