A Microsoft Azure Case Study
Plante Moran is a nearly 100-year-old U.S. certified public accounting and business advisory firm with about 2,500 professionals and a 66-person IT team. As staff mobility and personally owned devices (BYOD) grew during a move to Office 365 and SharePoint Online, the firm faced rising complexity in device registration, security, and support that was limiting productivity and responsiveness.
Plante Moran implemented Microsoft Intune (with Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Yammer) to enable user-based licensing, self-service enrollment, and automated workflows. Device registration dropped from days to under an hour, help-desk BYOD calls fell by 92%, and the firm estimates roughly 25 hours saved per employee per year—about $3.1 million in annual productivity gains.
