A Microsoft Azure Case Study
The City of Corona, CA, needed a more agile, secure digital platform to support economic development and day‑to‑day city services despite a lean IT staff, siloed applications, paper‑based external collaboration, and a requirement to meet CJIS and disaster‑resilience standards. Multiple logins, limited cross‑agency visibility, and the risk of losing on‑premises systems during an emergency made it difficult to serve citizens efficiently and support business growth.
Working with Microsoft FastTrack and partner Catapult Systems, Corona moved mission‑critical systems to Microsoft Azure Government and adopted Azure Active Directory/ADFS, Office 365, Power BI, Azure Backup and Site Recovery, and Configuration Manager. The result: single sign‑on and mobile access, consolidated cross‑agency insights via Power BI dashboards, faster deployments, stronger security and disaster recovery, and freed IT capacity to innovate—improving service delivery for residents and the local business community.
